Introduced in 1966 as a secondary value line for the Montecristo brand, Diplomáticos was primarily intended for the French market. It is one of the few Habanos brands exclusively dedicated to handmade cigars. The formats and names essentially follow the Montecristo nomenclature, and the Diplomáticos line is produced at the José Martí factory, just like most of the Montecristo range.
With medium to full flavors throughout the smoke, the Diplomáticos No. 2 is one of the best piramides to enjoy during the day.
The No. 2, the only remaining format in this line, offers a blend of filler and binder from the Vuelta Abajo region, with “tripa larga totalmente a mano” construction – long filler, entirely handmade.
Still made in Cuba, this carefully crafted torpedo with a distinctive taste offers all the excellent burn and draw characteristics expected of this iconic shape.
