Jose L. Piedra Petit Caballeros (box of 12)
With the José L. Piedra Petit Caballeros, the José L. Piedra brand unveils its modernized visual identity for the first time. The logo has also been updated for the occasion. This cigar, with a format similar to a Robusto, measures 120 mm in length with a 48 ring gauge. The format, called Hermoso Corto, feels remarkably good in the hand.
José L. Piedra
José L. Piedra is a particularly remarkable Habano: not only does the filler tobacco come exclusively from the Remedios region—one of the oldest tobacco-growing areas in Cuba—but the cigars are also entirely handmade (totalmente a mano), even though they are shortfillers (tripa corta).
The Piedra family emigrated from the Spanish province of Asturias to Cuba in the 1880s. They settled near the town of Santa Clara, in the heart of the Remedios region, where tobacco has been grown since the 16th century. It was there that they began producing their own cigars.
