For the La Galera Imperial Jade blend, José “Jochy” Blanco chose the rare and highly sought-after wrapper from Cameroon, Africa. This is the first time he has used a Cameroon wrapper for a La Galera cigar. This wrapper is renowned for its suppleness, beauty, and taste, but it is also thin and rather rigid, which makes it difficult to process.
However, that did not stop Jochy and his experienced rollers from creating a top-tier cigar.
Cigars with a Cameroon wrapper are rare, and for good reason. The seeds of this tobacco are susceptible to disease, have low yields, and are grown in Cameroon, a Central African republic that lacks experienced growers and qualified personnel for tobacco processing.
The lack of tobacco know-how in Cameroon means extra effort for the Tabacalera Palma factory. As soon as the Cameroon tobacco is delivered, it must undergo additional processes.
The taste of red chili is one of the flavors that stands out in this cigar, although it is not a peppery cigar. This indicates that the Cameroon wrapper contributes to the cigar's flavor profile. Over time, an initially hidden sweetness is revealed. Creamy and earthy flavors are subtly present throughout the smoke.
Sold by the unit and by the box of 20 cigars.
