Montecristo Edmundo
Montecristo is the best-known and arguably the most appreciated Habanos brand in the world. It serves as a benchmark for many Habanos smokers, acting as a standard by which other brands are evaluated.
The name comes from the hero of Alexandre Dumas’s famous novel, The Count of Monte Cristo, which was a favorite when read by the Lector to the Torcedores (cigar rollers) at the factory where the brand was founded in 1935.
The original Montecristo range consisted of a narrow assortment of sizes numbered 1 to 5. Today, it offers a wide variety of vitolas to satisfy cigar enthusiasts of all levels.
Montecristo’s perfectly balanced blends are created exclusively with selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, which is recognized for producing the best tobacco in the world.
