The most iconic and beloved Montecristo among aficionados! It is distinguished by its moderate to full strength, with striking aromas of leather and flowers.
Founded in 1935 in Havana by Alonso Menendez, the Montecristo brand is one of the most famous of Habanos. Its name refers to the hero of Alexandre Dumas' novel *The Count of Monte Cristo*, a classic often read to the *torcedores* in cigar factories. The initial range included five cigars numbered 1 to 5, but it has expanded over time to satisfy the most demanding palates. Prestigious models such as the majestic Montecristo A, as well as the Montecristo Edmundo and Petit Edmundo, launched in 2004 and 2007 respectively, are among the most notable formats. In 2009, Montecristo introduced the Open line, a series of milder, contemporary cigars intended for a diverse audience.
