Montecristo is the best-known and probably the most appreciated Habanos brand in the world. It serves as a benchmark for many aficionados, who often compare other brands to it.
Its name comes from the hero of the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo, a reading highly prized by the Torcedores (cigar rollers), to whom it was read by the Lector in the factory where the brand was founded in 1935.
The original Montecristo range consisted of a limited assortment, numbered from 1 to 5. Today, it offers a wide variety of vitolas to meet the expectations of all enthusiasts, from novices to connoisseurs.
