The history of the Romeo y Julieta cigar brand dates back to the year 1875. The name of this Habanos brand is clearly inspired by William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet." The brand truly achieved cult status at the beginning of the 20th century under the leadership of Don "Pepin" Fernandez. He was the one who set the trend by printing personalized bands with exclusive logos for individual customers. At its peak, more than 20,000 different bands were used for the brand, for a total of more than 1,000 different sizes. This diversity makes Romeo y Julieta a legend to this day.
