Trinidad Reyes
Trinidad Reyes
Trinidad takes its name from the magnificent 16th-century city of La Santísima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity), a UNESCO World Heritage site located on the south coast of Cuba.
As a Habanos brand, Trinidad was born in 1969, but like Cohiba, it was initially produced only as gifts for foreign diplomats. It was not until 1998 that it was released to the general public, and even then, only in limited quantities.
Originally, Trinidad offered only one size: the Fundadores. In 2003, three additional sizes were added to the range: Reyes, Coloniales, and Robusto Extra. At the same time, Trinidad's visual identity, including its band, was modernized to reflect the brand's prestige. More recently, in 2009, the Trinidad Robusto T was launched to complete the collection.
For several years, Trinidad cigars were manufactured at El Laguito, the Cohiba factory, where their unique blend, both fragrant and aromatic, composed of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, was developed.
